Is there a real threat against Christians in the UK

Some people have written or said that they think that Christianity is under attack in the UK from the political classes and civil servant mandarins who are predominantly atheist in their views, certainly when in office. (http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/bishop-hits-out-at-blair-523680) Tony Blair, for example thought that he would be labelled a “nutter” if he were explicit about his faith.

Matt Slick of the Christian Apologetics and Research Ministry believes that it has started and says so in this article http://carm.org/steps-to-persecution-christians .

It certainly appears that we can say whatever we like about what we believe, but if we try to put our faith into practice, we will be on the receiving end of some pretty rough justice.

About UK Fred

A Christian who cares that the church in Britain conforms to societal demands, rather than transforms society. I am particularly concerned with the lack of support for marriage and the acceptance of divorce in the church. I also care that the body politic in Britain seems to be corrupt and in need of a good shake-up.
